We just returned home from seeing Les Misérables — by far our best cinematic experience of the year. The production design and cinematography are magnificent. The performances are outstanding and quite surprising. And Hugh Jackman as a most powerful and heartbreaking Jean Valjean. Absolutely brilliant.
