DOMA: THE ENDING

We have been dancing with joy over the end of DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act). The Supreme Court has affirmed that all loving and committed couples who are married deserve equal legal respect and treatment from the federal government. There is still more to be done before same-sex couples living across the nation can enjoy all the same protections as their different-sex counterparts. We are committed to continue to work for marriage equality. www.hrc.org

SMOCK TRUNK SHOW

We have a weakness for all things letterpress and can’t wait to be among the first to see the new designs from SMOCK on Wednesday! Hope to see you there!

DAVID STARK: THE ART OF THE PARTY & PAPER TALES

I am delighted to be attending tonight the launch of my good friend’s newest inspiration, David Stark: The Art of the Party and the premiere of Paper Tales, a collection of one-of-a-kind art pieces created exclusively for Bergdorf Goodman. David continues to reinvent the obvious and never fails to surprise with innovative designs — I’m sure that tonight will be no exception.

SOHO REP

We are so happy to be working with Soho Rep again this year on their Spring Gala taking place on Monday, April 8 at Battery Gardens. Soho Rep is a fantastic contemporary theater that has been around since 1975 and in their permanent home on Walker Street since 1991. They are one of the most innovative theaters in New York City and we just love being a part of their world!

CHERRY BLOSSOMS

It was great to be a part of the New York Weddings Event last Thursday at the Metropolitan Pavilion! Now that spring is officially here, cherry blossoms are definitely on our minds. Our friend Jessy Wolvek of Fleurs NYC created two gorgeous, show-stopping arrangements of cherry blossoms in mercury glass urns for our booth. Coupled with the lovely pink ranunculus bouquets she made for us, we felt like we were seated amidst a most glorius springtime garden. Thanks Jessy!

THE ARMORY SHOW

For the next four days the international modern and contemporary art world will once again convene in New York for The Armory Show at Piers 92 and 94 — the biggest art fair in this city and one of the most important and highly anticipated in the world. We find this year to be particularly exciting because it is the 100th anniversary of the 1913 Armory Show, from which the current annual exhibition takes its name and also its inspiration. The groundbreaking 1913 Armory Show, its official title was the “International Exhibition of Modern Art”, featured for the first time some of the most avant-garde, and considered by many completely shocking, European painting and sculpture alongside contemporary American work. Marcel Duchamp, Henri Matisse, Constantin Brancusi, Pablo Picasso + Edward Hopper, Stuart Davis, George Bellows, James Abbott McNeill Whistler represent just a fraction of the artists shown. It is widely believed that this show was one of the most influential and impactful on American art. If only to have been there…

THE POWER OF LOVE

Love. Honor. Commitment. Three simple words. They are the words that we feel in our hearts when we make a commitment to each other. Some of our most memorable weddings have happened since New York legalized gay marriage.

We believe everyone should be able to get married.
We believe in fairness and equality.
We believe in the power of love.
